Dearest Elder Isaac,

Love you so much! Sister Isa sent me pictures of your from your temple trip and from Zone Conference.  She is so sweet!

  • Lily and I did an endowment session on Tuesday
  • I helped serve a lunch for the new missionaries in the Utah East Mission on Tuesday. I got a meet a sweet Sister from Taiwan who was just reassigned to our mission from the Temple Square mission and knew Sister Pan's daughter!
  • One of my dearest high school friends was visiting from Wisconsin, and we got to go to lunch together.  I love her so much!  It's an amazing thing to have a friend you haven't seen in 30 years but is still your friend  as soon as you're back together.  And even sweeter when they are still your friend in the gospel!
  • Lily and I ran 6 miles down the canyon together!  She is so delightful to talk to!
  • Lily started as a temple worker on Wednesday in the Draper Temple. 
  • Emmy had water polo State this week.  They played an AWESOME game against Kearns on Tuesday which was neck and neck!  They ended up taking 2nd to them in the championship game on Saturday, but I was way impressed with how strong Emmy's team played.  They've made a ton of progress in their confidence level this season!
  • Dad had his 48th birthday yesterday!  How I love him! We took all 5 cars to get gas and then to a car wash for his birthday!  So fun!  And then everyone helped me plant flowers in the yard until dark. Then we watched "Maverick" until midnight.  It was a pretty awesome birthday!
  • I played the organ in church today.  I was a little disappointed in the number of mistakes I made - I did better when I was practicing- but I still really enjoyed playing.  The organ is such a fun instrument!
  • We have a robin nest in the maple tree out front.
We got to sing "Come Thou Fount" in Sacrament meeting today.  I love that song!
"Oh, to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be." I'm so grateful for my Savior!

Dearest Isaac, It's different to only have 1 missionary to write to... Lily came home on Wednesday!  Super fun to have her home! We went to a water polo game for Emmy to keep Lily awake that night and then ate at Spaghetti Factory! Lily and I got to go to the temple with Sister Ingram, a former companion of Lily's.  Then we got to go to lunch together.  Ingram is delightful!  I really like her We left on Friday to go to Zion and hiked Angel's Landing that night in 2 hours 10 minutes!  We were booking it! and caught the second to last shuttle down canyon... On Saturday we did Mystery Canyon.  Isaac, have you done that one? Jon Moffitt came with us, and he was super great to have along. My favorite thing was listening to Emmy, Joseph and Lily chat and laugh with each other! It is an enormous blessing to have children who are such good friends and are such lovely humans to hang out with!! I have been feeling extraordinarily blessed! We got home at about midnig...

Dearest Lily and Isaac, Conference weekend is the best!! Emmy had a water polo game in Springville on Monday.  I love watching her play! I attended 2 online workshops for medical career people this week.  Super fascinating!  I'm feeling a bit discouraged about getting all the work and volunteer hours I need, but grateful for all the resources the advisement center has to help me. I got to have lunch with Joseph twice this week AND he came home for Sunday General Conference Emmy and I did Confirmations at the Taylorsville temple Emmy and I also got to go to Hale to see a new musical called "Hallmarked". It was cute and funny, and I also had a fun small-world moment when I found out that the husband in the couple sitting next to us served his mission in Taichung at the same time as Dad and I! Dad and Emmy left for Taiwan on Thursday It snowed on Thursday ... it was 80 degrees earlier this week... I got to go to an acapella concert Joseph was in! So good!!! I took my last la...

 Dearest Isaac and Lily, This was a great week! President Oaks spoke at the BYU devotional.  I got there at 9:15 and was astonished beyond measure at how crowded it already was.  People were EVERYWHERE and the doors hadn't opened yet.  I was able to get a seat, though, and Joseph and some Jerusalem friends sat with me. Emmy had an appointment with Dr. Beals.  She's doing fine.  He said to just work through the pain - it's to be expected.  I also got to learn which tendon he moved and how the surgery worked.  It was absolutely fascinating! I got to play the organ at the temple and did some initiatories School has been really busy but I'm also feeling more confident and less stressed Emmy and Hana and I did baptisms on Saturday.  I haven't seen Hana in a while, so that was awesome!  We had a long chat about missionary service and what it would look like.  I don't know if she will serve a mission, but I figured that she can't even know...
