 Dearest Isaac and Lily,

Love you guys!

  • I had my last Biology homework assignment on Monday.  I met my study group at the Bean Museum (the one with all the animals that have been stuffed) and took a bunch of pictures of things that showed what we've learned this semester.  It was pretty fun, and the Bean museum is WAY cooler than when I took you there as kids.
  • I had my last lecture on Tuesday.  My biology professor ended the semester by having us look at research projects on campus and emailing at least one professor to see if we could do research with them. I emailed 3.  One responded and said to try again in the Fall.  That was hopeful
  • Joseph performed in the Acapella Jam on Tuesday, and I got to go to it.  SO GOOD!  I love that he is singing in an acapella group! Plus, we ran into Ben and Amanda at Raisin' Cane's while grabbing food for Joseph after the concert!
  • I studied on Wednesday and Thursday
  • It snowed on Thursday. Yes, it's mid-April, but it's Utah
  • And then I took 2 Finals on Friday - Biology and Anatomy.  My Biology test was harder than I thought it would be, so I'm not sure how well I did, but I'm pretty sure I got an A in the class.  Anatomy went well - I got 93%, so I have a very solid A in that class.
  • I still have my Chemistry final.  Wish me luck
  • Emmy and Hana and I went and did baptisms in Draper on Friday.  I loved it!
  • Emmy and I also went to see "Phantom of the Opera" on Friday at Eccles.  Neither of us had seen it before, and we had a grand time!
  • Saturday was Brinley's Bridal Shower!  I am so excited for her and Peter!  Plus, I got to meet Ali's new baby, Maeve!  She's absolutely adorable!
  • Emmy had Prom on Saturday.  She went with a group of girls, and I got to be their photographer.  They were a delightful group, and I am so glad she went and had a great time!
  • I played the organ in church on Sunday and didn't mess up too badly
  • We got a new Bishopric.  Shaun Sudbury is our new bishop!  His counsellors are Kerry Rolfe and Craig Grimm.  I think they'll do a great job!
This past week I've still been working through some discouragement about my PA school path. I'm really grateful we studied about Israel being delivered from Egypt.  The combination of that, and some timely advice from Joseph helped me have a little more faith.  I may feel like I'm going the wrong way or at least not be certain how things will work out, but I can move forward with faith and trust the Lord.  As it says in Exodus 14, I will "fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord."  The Lord can be trusted.  Always.  If I start going down a wrong path, he'll let me know.

Dearest Isaac, It's different to only have 1 missionary to write to... Lily came home on Wednesday!  Super fun to have her home! We went to a water polo game for Emmy to keep Lily awake that night and then ate at Spaghetti Factory! Lily and I got to go to the temple with Sister Ingram, a former companion of Lily's.  Then we got to go to lunch together.  Ingram is delightful!  I really like her We left on Friday to go to Zion and hiked Angel's Landing that night in 2 hours 10 minutes!  We were booking it! and caught the second to last shuttle down canyon... On Saturday we did Mystery Canyon.  Isaac, have you done that one? Jon Moffitt came with us, and he was super great to have along. My favorite thing was listening to Emmy, Joseph and Lily chat and laugh with each other! Dearest Lily and Isaac, Conference weekend is the best!! Emmy had a water polo game in Springville on Monday.  I love watching her play! I attended 2 online workshops for medical career people this week.  Super fascinating!  I'm feeling a bit discouraged about getting all the work and volunteer hours I need, but grateful for all the resources the advisement center has to help me. I got to have lunch with Joseph twice this week AND he came home for Sunday General Conference Emmy and I did Confirmations at the Taylorsville temple Emmy and I also got to go to Hale to see a new musical called "Hallmarked". It was cute and funny, and I also had a fun small-world moment when I found out that the husband in the couple sitting next to us served his mission in Taichung at the same time as Dad and I! Dad and Emmy left for Taiwan on Thursday It snowed on Thursday ... it was 80 degrees earlier this week... I got to go to an acapella concert Joseph was in! So good!!! I took my last la...

 Dearest Isaac and Lily, This was a great week! President Oaks spoke at the BYU devotional.  I got there at 9:15 and was astonished beyond measure at how crowded it already was.  People were EVERYWHERE and the doors hadn't opened yet.  I was able to get a seat, though, and Joseph and some Jerusalem friends sat with me. Emmy had an appointment with Dr. Beals.  She's doing fine.  He said to just work through the pain - it's to be expected.  I also got to learn which tendon he moved and how the surgery worked.  It was absolutely fascinating! I got to play the organ at the temple and did some initiatories School has been really busy but I'm also feeling more confident and less stressed Emmy and Hana and I did baptisms on Saturday.  I haven't seen Hana in a while, so that was awesome!  We had a long chat about missionary service and what it would look like.  I don't know if she will serve a mission, but I figured that she can't even know...
