Dearest Isaac and Lily,
You are such a blessing in my life. I've felt so grateful for you this week!
- I had my organ lesson this week. I haven't had one since December because my teacher's husband had some health issues and then passed away. It was good to see my teacher and express love for her..
- This class was at our church, which was fun! It was nice to have Jan's advice on how to use this organ.
- Emmy left for choir tour on Wednesday. It's weird to have her gone. But she's been having a ball!
- Dad and I left on Thursday after my classes to go to the Grand Canyon. I took the bus to school that morning.
- There was a fire drill during my free anatomy lab... Had to evacuate the LSB. Sigh. But it meant I had more lunch time with Joseph. Yay!
- He drove pretty much all night to get us there in time to try for a cabin at Phantom Ranch - no dice. But it meant we could hike down in the cool of the morning.
- When we got to Phantom Ranch we found there was a cancellation! And since we'd been on the last-minute cancellation list we were able to get it!! Complete with flushing toilet and sink in the room, beds with linens and access to the shower building! It was heavenly and we took an awesome nap that afternoon in our air conditioned room!
- We hiked back up the South Kaibab trail early the next morning after an awesome breakfast at Phantom Ranch. We summited about an hour faster than we thought we would and felt really good throughout!
- I played the organ in church on Sunday and didn't mess up too badly even though I haven't been able to practice as much as I usually do.
I love you guys! I'm so grateful for how willing you've always been to go on adventures and work hard. You are amazing!!
Love you to the moon and back!
