 Dearest Isaac and Lily,

I am so grateful for the goodness of my children!

  • We went to Glenwood Springs, CO for New Year's.  They have the biggest hot tub I've ever seen! It's heated by a hot spring, and there are several little pools with varying temperatures
  • We ate INCREDIBLE BBQ
  • On New Year's day we then drove to Moab and did a short hike to Mesa Arch - ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!
  • We did U-turn canyon, and it was awesome!  I love traveling with my kids!  They are a delight!
  • We made it back in time for Joseph to attend a wedding reception for a Jerusalem friend
  • Joseph Emmy and I went to see a movie with the Nelsons (Knives Out: Wake up Dead Man). It was super fun! It was fun to be in a theater and listen to everyone laughing and reacting.
  • Dad taught Sunday School today and introduced the Old Testament. It was a great lesson!  I'm so excited to have him teach Gospel Doctrine!
I am finishing up Ether in the Chinese Book of Mormon.  It's been such a wonderful experience to read it in Chinese!  I particularly loved reading Ether 12:4 where "with surety hope" is translated as queding de xiwang.  The intensity of that certainty just hit different.  We can have a certain hope in Christ.  Love it!

Love you to the moon and back!

The hot tub place we went to (from the internet) - You can see the lane lines for the 25 meter lap swimming on the left end of the pool

Another internet shot to show how big it is...
Similar view from when we were there

Isaac - I thought you'd appreciate how they labeled the bottom of the lap section of the pool for circle swimming. haha!

Dad's dreams came true...

It snowed in CO on New Year's morning - we ate breakfast at a fabulous place called Daily Bread (you can see it across the street)
