Dearest Isaac and Lily,
I love you 2 so much!! And I am so grateful for and proud of you! It's been a crazy week for me...
- I had an organ class on Monday. When I sent a picture of it to Lily, her companion knew where I was! Sister Linford is from my teacher 's(Jan Clayton) ward! Very small world moment.
- Dad had a little accident with his safety glasses playing racquetball and got a cut under his right eyebrow. I got to super glue it and steri-strip it. Maybe I will like being a PA...
- I had to get all the shopping done on Wednesday evening. Dad was in Vegas and Emmy was a work/YW, so at least I didn't have to abandon anyone at home alone to get it done.
- Dad had a work dinner on Tuesday and was in Vegas on Wednesday, so I was all by my lonesome quite a bit. I finished a Chinese drama and worked on my paint by number...
- I left Thursday morning to go to New York with the ladies! We've been going non-stop!
- We ate AMAZING food every day
- We wandered around Times Square a couple of times
- Spent Friday downtown in the financial district
- Got a tour of the NY Stock Exchange
- Visited Trinity church and Hamilton's grave (they have a very cool organ there!)
- Visited the 911 memorial including the observation deck at the Freedom 1 tower
- Took a helicopter ride around Manhattan
- Walked the Brooklyn Bridge (which was amazing and we should have done every time we've come!)
- Went up the Empire State Building
- Spent Saturday in Midtown
- Went to the Top of the Rock on the top of the Rockefeller Center and did the Skylift up there
- Went inside St. Patrick's Cathedral (which has 2 very cool organs)
- Wandered Central Park, ate at the Tavern on the Green and had a horse carriage ride around the Park
- Saw two shows: Six and Death Becomes Her
- Jackie took us to Tiffany's and bought us all jewelry!!!
- Today we're visiting Grand Central Station, going to "The Edge" which is another city viewpoint, walking the Highline path and flying home
- you get the idea...
I fly home today and will probably still be on my flight when Lily wants to call, but I'll do my best. The Manhattan temple building is under construction (like the whole building is behind wood and scaffolding while they completely gut and rebuild it), so we don't have a ward in the area we can attend before our flight. Well... there is the Chinese branch, which I would have loved but didn't work for everyone else. Ha ha! I'm sad to miss church. Enjoy your church meetings double for me!
I love you guys to the moon and back!!!!
